Overview

Ben Mather’s career started at one of Philadelphia’s most venerable law firms where he gained incomparable experience and top-notch training.   Ben then joined the City of Philadelphia Law Department, where he was the architect of the City’s litigation strategy in many of its biggest and most high-profile cases.  In 2012, he left the Law Department to join KCR.  Ben’s clients appreciate his sound judgment, creative problem solving and client-first approach.

Representative Cases

Case 1

Represented real estate developers in actions against multiple financial institutions alleging fraud and breach of contract after their failure to honor a multi-million dollar term sheet

Case 2

Represented a local business in multi-jurisdictional litigation involving claims of fraud and breach of contract arising out of alleged misrepresentations made during the sale of that business by a major private equity company

Case 3

Defended municipality in nine-figure case brought by developer who claimed that its project had been scuttled by unconstitutional zoning practices

Case 4

Represented distributor of vitamin supplements and its chief spokesperson in federal district court action by competitor asserting Lanham Act violations, misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair competition and tortious interference

Case 5

Defended an antique firearm dealer in civil case brought by disgruntled collector and criminal case prosecuted by the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania
